We are a GP team

We provide a range of different roles in the wider GP practice team - GPs; Nursing Team including practice nurses, assistant practitioner & nurse associate; Paramedic; MSK Practitioner; Mental Health Practitioner; Pharmacist; Pharmacist Technician; Health Improvement Practitioner; Phlebotomist; Social Prescrbing Link Worker; Care Co-Ordinator.

You will be offered apppointment with the most appropriate person in the practice who can deal with your illness/problem/condition.

Doctors

  • DR SHARIF UDDIN

    Male

    Dr Uddin is one of our GP Partners and has been with the practice since February 2012. He offers a full general practice service and he has a special interest in Diabetes. He is one of the practices GP Trainers.

  • DR SAEEDAH ANWAR

    Female

    Dr Anwar is one of our female GP Partner and has been with the practice since March 2013. She offers a full general practice service. She is one of the practices GP Trainers.

  • DR ALEX LOMAS

    Male

    Dr Lomas is our salaried GP. Alex joined our team permanently in August 2021 but he has been at the practice during his training for a number of years. He offers a full general practice service.

  • DR OTITO EGEGBARA

    Female

    Dr Egegbara is our GP Registrar Doctor (Year 2) from August 2024-February 2025. GP registrars, are fully qualified and registered doctors. All GP registrars must undergo this training before they can become fully qualified GPs in their own right.

  • DR RIZWAN ZAMAN

    Male

    Dr Zaman is our GP Registrar Doctor (Year 3) from February 2024. He will be working at the practice for 12 months. GP registrars, are fully qualified and registered doctors. All GP registrars must undergo this training before they can become fully qualified GPs in their own right.

Nurses

  • CATHERINE ELSE

    Female

    The practice nurse will be responsible for a number of clinical areas such as health promotion, chronic disease management, health prevention, well women and well man clinics, as well as supporting the management team in the reviewing of clinical policy and procedure. Sister Else has been with the practice since 1992. She is qualified to offer a number of services to the patients. Her clinical speciality is Diabetes and she is the Practice Lead Nurse for managing our patients with diabetes.

  • DUSTY WARD

    Female

    The practice nurse will be responsible for a number of clinical areas such as health promotion, chronic disease management, health prevention, well women and well man clinics, as well as supporting the management team in the reviewing of clinical policy and procedure. Sister Ward joined the practice in June 2023.

Health Practitioners

  • REBECCA HILL

    Female

    Rebecca is our full time Assistant Practitioner who works under the supervision of Practice Nurses and the GP's. She carries out various clinic reviews including New Patient Checks, NHS Health Checks, Aged 75 and over reviews, Mental Health, Annual Health Check Reviews, Learning Disability Annual Health Check Reviews, Demential Annual Health Check Reviews, Blood pressure checks and ECG tests

  • RACHAEL CROFT

    Female

    Rachael is our Nurse Associate. Rachael has her own clinics in which she does blood tests, ECGs, annual carer reviews and NHS health checks.

Paramedics

  • DAVID HASLAM

    Male

    David is our Paramedic and he joined the practice in July 2021. He works with all 7 practices of our Primary Care Network and holds 2 clinics per week at the practice. David supports the doctors, seeing patients and visiting. He is able to assess your problem, examine you, organise any tests that may be required and decide, with you, a course of treatment.

Mental Health Practitioner

  • JENNIFER THOMPSON

    Female

    Our Mental Health Practitioner is Jennifer Thompson. She is a registered Nurse and Specialist Practitioner in Mental Health. Jennifer joined our team in November 2023. She is the first point of contact at the practice if you have anxiety, depression or low mood. You do not need to see the doctor first, Jennifer will have the better expertise to manage your symptoms. She can also see you if you have seen a doctor and you or the doctor feels you require further advice or treatment.

Musculoskeletal (MSK) Practitioners

  • JAMES LIMBERT

    Male

    James is one of our Musculoskeletal (MSK) Practitioner and he joined the team in February 2021. First Contact Practitioners are physiotherapists with expertise in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. He is here to assess patients with soft tissue, muscle and joint pain and to decide on the most appropriate management pathway. He can perform MSK assessments and support patients who are suffering from any bone, joint or muscle pain.

  • CAMERON FLEMING

    Male

    Cameron is one of our Musculoskeletal (MSK) Practitioner and he joined the team in June 2023. First Contact Practitioners are physiotherapists with expertise in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. Pharmacists

    Currently on maternity leave Raeesa holds clinics in which she reviews patients who need a 6-12 monthly review of their medications. She also supports the doctors with medication queries, reconciling medication after a patient has been in hospital, requests from the hospitals to change any of their current medications. She also supports the practice with our drug safety audits which we do to ensure that the practice are prescribing safely and effectively.

  • BHAVISHA JARIWALA

    Bhav holds clinics in which she reviews patients who need a 6-12 monthly review of their medications. She also supports the doctors with medication queries, reconciling medication after a patient has been in hospital, requests from the hospitals to change any of their current medications. She also supports the practice with our drug safety audits which we do to ensure that the practice are prescribing safely and effectively.

Social Prescribing Link Worker

  • ANDREA HOLMAN

    Female

    Social prescribing link workers connect people to community-based support, including activities and services that meet practical, social, and emotional needs that affect their health and wellbeing. This includes connecting people to statutory services for example housing, financial and welfare advice.

  • MOHMED PATEL

    Health Improvement Practitioner

    Mohmed works alongside our clinical team to support health prevention programmes. His clinics are for patients at risk of developing diabetes, patients at risk of developing a cardiovascular disease and patients aged 40-75 with no precluding cardiovascular disease..

Practice Management

  • AIMEE HILTON

    Practice Manager

    The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
